A supported browser is required. The Call.com desktop app is a Progressive Web App (PWA). It can be installed via Chrome, Edge, or Brave on Windows, macOS, Linux, and Chromebook. On macOS, Safari 17+ (Sonoma or later) also supports installation. Firefox and Opera desktop do not support PWA installation.

Your browser shows an “App installed” confirmation right away. Set up pinning and auto-start in one step — no need to dig into settings afterwards.
- Pin to taskbar / Start — one-click shortcut to your Taskbar and Windows Start menu
- Create Desktop shortcut — puts the Call.com icon directly on your Desktop
- Auto-start on device login — launches Call.com automatically when Windows starts

Requires macOS Sonoma and Safari 17 or later. Earlier versions of macOS or Safari do not support PWA installation. If you’re unsure, check Apple menu → About This Mac.
Safari — File → Add to Dock
macOS Sonoma only
- Open app.call.com in Safari
- In the menu bar at the top of your screen, click File
- Click “Add to Dock…”
- Confirm the name — Call.com appears in your Dock like any native app
Safari shows no post-install dialog — the icon goes straight to your Dock. To pin it permanently: right-click the Dock icon → Options → Keep in Dock.
The easiest way to check: look at the icon in your taskbar or Dock that you use to browse the web.

Safari: use File → Add to Dock instead. No post-install dialog appears — the icon goes straight to the Dock.

When the “App installed” dialog appears, tick “Pin to taskbar” and click Allow2
Missed the dialog? Right-click the Call.com icon in the Taskbar while the app is running3
Click “Pin to taskbar”
Tick “Auto-start on device login” in the install dialog to launch Call.com automatically at startup.

To pin to the Shelf: right-click Call.com in the Launcher → “Pin to shelf”
To auto-launch on login: right-click the Call.com icon on the Shelf → “Open on startup”. Unlike Windows, there’s no checkbox during install — you set this afterwards from the Shelf.
